Who is Jay Ahn?

I have bought a home in Canada, lived in it and sold it myself. I know how much one line in a contract, or one day on the closing date (the day you pay in full and get the keys), can change a family’s life. So I take care of each client’s deal as if it were my own, until the very end.

I started with rentals. Since then I have helped with condo and house sales, pre-construction, warehouses and stores, and even restaurant business sales. When things are hard, like for someone finding a first home in a new country or someone with a short Canadian credit history, I work even harder to find a way.

My goal is simple: to be the realtor clients come back to after the deal, and recommend to their friends.

How I work

Fast replies

My work doesn’t stop the day you get the keys. I also help with what comes next, like move-in paperwork, utilities (power, gas, water) and interest on your rent deposit (last month’s rent).

I keep up with changes that affect you, like updates to rental law, taxes and TRESA (the Ontario law for real estate agents). Then I explain them in simple words.

What kinds of deals do you do?

Rentals are the most common. I also help with condo and house sales, pre-construction, commercial spaces like warehouses and stores, and business sales like restaurants. I work for tenants and landlords, and for buyers and sellers.

Which areas do you cover?

My office is in Thornhill. I mostly work in Downtown Toronto, North York, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham and Mississauga. If needed, I go anywhere in the GTA.

Do you only speak Korean?

No. I speak both Korean and English. Many of my clients are Korean, and I also work with clients from other countries all the time.

What do I need to get started?

Just tell me the area, your budget and your timing. If you want to rent, I first send you a list of the papers you need. If you want to buy, I first send you a cost estimate and the steps to get pre-approved (when a bank tells you ahead of time how much it will lend you).

Do I need to sign a contract to work with you?

Yes, if you want me to represent you. In Ontario, a realtor needs a written agreement (a service contract between you and the realtor) to represent you. Buyers sign it before making an offer. I explain the length, the scope and the fee before you sign. You sign only after all your questions are answered.
